Goodbye Summer
There is something about autumn that feels especially at home at Faeluna.
As the days begin to shorten and the first signs of the season creep in, the shop starts to take on a different kind of magic. The brighter days of summer slowly give way to richer colours, softer light, cosy corners and all the little things that make this time of year feel so special. It is the season of folklore, stories, candles, creativity, curiosity and just a touch of enchantment, which feels rather perfect for us.
Autumn always brings a sense of change too, and this year one of those changes is saying goodbye, for now, to Chess as she heads back to university.
Chess has been such a familiar part of Faeluna over the summer, helping in the shop, creating, making, chatting to customers and generally being woven into the everyday rhythm of the place. It will feel very strange not having her around quite so much, but I am also incredibly excited for her as she heads back to uni and gets stuck into another term.
Thankfully, it is only goodbye until Christmas, and knowing Chess, she will probably return with a head full of ideas, photographs, projects and several new creative obsessions. 😂
For Faeluna, autumn means new displays, seasonal makes, workshops, cosy creativity and plenty more little changes slowly appearing around the shop. It is one of my favourite times of year, and I am very ready to lean fully into the folklore, woodland magic and slightly witchier side of Faeluna.
So here is to turning leaves, darker evenings, new beginnings and temporary goodbyes.
Autumn is nearly here, and Faeluna is ready for it. 🍁🖤🌙
