5 College Street forms part of a Grade II* listed medieval building dating from the early to mid-15th century. Built around 600 years ago, the row was probably created as a commercial development, with small shops below and living or working space above.

College Street itself has an even longer story. Recorded as far back as 1139, this little street has welcomed residents, traders, pilgrims and visitors making their way towards what was then St Peter's Abbey, now Gloucester Cathedral.

The building has been altered many times over the centuries and has housed different trades and businesses, but remarkably much of its historic character has survived.

Today, No. 5 continues that centuries-old tradition of trading beneath the shadow of the Cathedral as the home of Faeluna.
